International Symposium of Animal Biology and Nutrition

National Research Development Institute for Animal Biology and Nutrition (I.B.N.A. Balotesti)

The symposium joins researchers and practicing specialists in the field of animal biology and nutrition, both from Romania and abroad, which present and debate scientific researches and trends of interest for animal production.

The symposium takes place annually before the last weekend of September:

• The 9th symposium: September 23-24, 2010 *
• The 10th symposium: September 29-30, 2011
• The 11th symposium: September 27-28, 2012

* French –Romanian workshop of the ninth edition is funded by the French Embassy in Romania.

• Quality and safety of animal products
• Low input / sustainable animal production systems
• Genetic biodiversity, breeding and reproduction
• Feeding efficiency & environment
• Animal welfare

Scientific contributions in other areas linked to animal biology and nutrition are welcomed

The official language of the symposium

The official languages of the symposium are English and Romanian. Simultaneous translation is provided.

Paper reviewing process

The scientific papers are peered reviewed by an international board. The form of presentation (theatre presentation of poster) is decided by the Committee of organisation function of the author’s option and the reviewers’ recommendations.

All papers accepted for presentation will be published as abstract in the Book of abstracts of the symposium.

In parallel, the papers will be also reviewed for full text publication in Archiva Zootechnica, in English (www.ibna.ro/archiva) or in Anale IBNA, in Romanian.
