The National Research - Development Institute for Animal Biology and Nutrition (INCDBNA-IBNA Balotești) is the most important research unit in the field of animal science in Romania. The institute has a turnover of 30 million RON and carries out annually 25-45 research projects, within national / international RDI programs, or funded by the private sector.
The organizational structure of the institute includes the Research Department with four laboratories (Animal Biology, Chemistry and Nutrition Physiology, Animal Nutrition and Biotechnologies, Animal Genetic Resources Management), the Development Department, with two compartments (Pilot station for feed additives and feed compounds, experimental farm) which provides the framework for research activities and the technological transfer the research results and support compartments (administrative, economic, human resources, etc.).
IBNA addresses a wide range of research directions and objectives (effects of nutrition on farm animal performance and health - eg immune status, quality and safety of feed and animal products, feed contaminants, adaptation of farm nutrition strategies to global changes , animal nutrition in the food chain - eg functional foods, use of animal models for human nutrition, etc.), that generate a high number of research results annually (scientific papers, products, services, etc.), while ensuring their technological transfer to potential beneficiaries.
From 14-16 September 2020, IBNA will organize the on-line course:
GENOMIC APPROACHES with RANDOM REGRESSION (RR) MODELS.
